This February we saw the 'beast from the east' , the wonderful snowstorm, sweep Ireland. Our little island was so unprepared for such an event, that the entire country went into lock-down. No work, no school, no bread, no milk!, it was surreal :-) loved every minute of it, the beautiful snow covered landscapes, the treacherous voyage to the local Centra to stock up on necessities, and of course the snowmen, the snow fights, the sleighs and the children's excitement. It was definitely a week to remember for us! It was like we had been transported to the North Pole, quote my son :-)
