I'd love to share a heartwarming story from a recent engagement photoshoot in Temple Bar, Dublin, where the rain lashed down and we laughed our hearts out and enjoyed every drop!
Initially, the groom-to-be had a grand plan to propose at Howth Summit, at sunset. But, the weather forecast had a different idea – torrential rain and wind, dear ole Storm Agnus!
Undeterred, we were determined to make this moment unforgettable. Picture this: an American couple on vacation in Dublin, a torrential downpour, and a love story that defied the weather.
As the rain poured down, I awaited their arrival in Temple Bar, armed with an umbrella, my cameras, and a heart full of excitement. The groom-to-be, anxious yet resolute, led his beautiful bride-to-be through the cobblestone streets to outside the Temple Bar Pub, where I was waiting.
The plan was this: they were to take a selfie and then ask me (a friendly stranger) to take a photograph of them with their phone. Instead, I offered to take one with my professional camera and promised to email it to them at a later stage. Hahaha, I was so nervous and praying that my acting skills were okay!
The scene was nothing short of magical. The wet streets of Temple Bar glistened, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and enchanting. He got down on one knee, and I captured the essence of the moment, raindrops splashing around them. Her surprised and teary-eyed "yes" echoed cheers from passersby on the rainy Temple Bar streets.
