The minute I Zoomed with C & J, I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding. You know that feeling when you just click with people? That was them. They were absolutely brilliant — full of craic, good energy, and the kind of humans you just want to go for pints with. Their vision for the day? Fun, happy, no stress, feck the bullshit, and just enjoy yourself. No first dance, no cake, feck the speeches, feck the formals (okay, we got the formals — we got the shots we needed — but no stress! So what if someone was in the jax? Grand! We’ll get a photo with them later!).
We kicked off the day in the best way — meeting in Temple Bar, right outside a pub. They had pints, I had my camera, and I was in my absolute element. Honestly, if I could do every couple’s shoot this way I’d be a happy woman. No fuss, just real moments, laughter, and proper connection. We tore around Temple Bar for their couple's photos — it was wild, it was hilarious, and it was completely them.
Then we hopped in a taxi and headed to meet their families and mates at The Capstan Bar — a proper old-school Dublin spot in Ringsend with bags of character. The pints were flowing, the hugs were flying, and it was nothing but warmth and good humour.
From there, we all walked together down to Fumbally Lane, to their gorgeous venue — The Fumbally Stables. If you haven’t been, it’s a tucked-away gem with rustic walls, greenery everywhere, and the kind of space that just feels easy and welcoming. It suited C & J down to the ground.
Their ceremony? Funny, romantic, heartfelt and full of laughter. You could feel the love — not just between the two of them, but from everyone around them. And afterwards? No timeline madness, no big production, just people enjoying themselves, catching up, having a laugh. They let me do my thing while they did theirs — and that’s when the magic happens.
I genuinely loved every single minute of photographing this wedding. Days like this are why I do what I do.
Also — can we just take a second to appreciate how freakin’ HANDSOME they are!?
