I had the absolute joy of photographing the most beautiful Dublin City wedding recently, and I can’t stop thinking about it. The day started in the iconic Hard Rock Hotel, moved into the charming Smock Abbey Theatre for the ceremony, and wrapped up with an incredible celebration at Fallon & Byrne. It was a day full of laughter, connection, and so many heartfelt moments—and I was lucky enough to be there with my camera in hand.

There’s just something about Dublin weddings. The colour, the character, the energy—it’s a dream backdrop for those relaxed, natural photos that tell a story. Every corner of the city offers something different, and no two weddings ever feel the same.

Hard Rock Hotel – Where the Day Begins

The day started at the Hard Rock Hotel, where the bridal party were getting ready—and the energy was electric. It’s such a cool space, full of personality, but it still holds that calm, romantic anticipation that makes the morning so special. I love capturing those quiet in-between moments—the glance in the mirror, the squeeze of a hand, the deep breath before it all begins.

Smock Abbey Theatre – A Ceremony with Soul

Smock Abbey Theatre brought all the drama in the best way. The old-world charm of the venue mixed with the raw emotion of the ceremony made for such a rich, cinematic feel. There were tears, laughter, and so many meaningful glances—and I got to freeze those little moments in time. It honestly felt like love was unfolding on a stage set just for them.

Fallon & Byrne – A Joyful Celebration

Then it was off to Fallon & Byrne for the reception, and wow—what a party. The joy was infectious. Guests spilled out onto the streets, dancing, hugging, laughing… pure magic. Dublin’s heartbeat was right there in the middle of it all, and I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera. These are the moments I live to photograph—real, unfiltered emotion.
