And if you're looking for an intimate wedding venue in Dublin with a bit of character, Delahunt on Camden Street is definitely one to have a look at.
There's something about a city wedding that just works. A gorgeous venue, a few drinks, great food, your favourite people and that brilliant Dublin buzz. What's not to love?
Delahunt: A Little Dublin Gem
Delahunt is a beautifully restored Victorian building on Camden Street, full of old-world charm and character. It's got that lovely mix of history and atmosphere that makes a wedding feel special without needing to go over the top.
For couples who aren't dreaming of a massive hotel wedding with hundreds of guests, it's a lovely option to explore. Whether you're planning a small celebration with your closest family or getting everyone together for a proper wedding dinner, an intimate restaurant setting can make the whole day feel much more relaxed and personal.
And that's the beauty of a smaller wedding. You actually get to spend time with everyone who's there. You can enjoy the food, have a proper chat, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the fact that you've just married your favourite person.

Small Wedding, Big Craic
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how much fun a small wedding can be?
You don't need hundreds of guests to have an absolutely brilliant day. Sometimes the smaller weddings are the ones where everyone really lets loose because they're surrounded by the people who know them best.
There's the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the happy tears, the speeches that start off lovely and somehow turn into a full-blown comedy routine, and the inevitable stories that probably should have stayed off the microphone.
Then there's the laughter that gets louder as the drinks flow, the friends who are fully committed to the craic, and the moments that nobody planned but everybody remembers.
That's the stuff.
Your wedding doesn't have to follow a particular formula. It can be relaxed, a little bit chaotic, full of personality and completely your own.
And honestly, I think that's a pretty brilliant way to get married.
Your Wedding Photographer Should Be Part of the Craic, Not Another Thing to Worry About
Now, if the thought of having your photograph taken all day fills you with dread, I promise you're not alone.
Not everyone wants to spend their wedding day being told where to stand, how to smile or what to do with their hands. And you certainly don't need to be a natural in front of the camera to have gorgeous wedding photographs.
My approach is to keep things relaxed and let you enjoy yourselves.
I'm there to capture the real stuff. The hugs, the belly laughs, the happy tears, the little glances between you, the questionable dance moves and all the brilliant in-between moments that make your wedding your wedding.
I'll give you a bit of direction when you need it, especially if you're feeling awkward or unsure, but I'm not going to have you posing for hours while everyone else is having the craic without you.
Absolutely not.
I want you to feel comfortable, have a laugh and forget about the camera as much as possible. The less you're worrying about photographs, the more you can actually enjoy the day — and that's when those lovely, natural moments happen.
Think of me as an extra pair of eyes there to capture everything while you get on with being newly married.
Candid Wedding Photography with Plenty of Personality
For me, wedding photography isn't just about getting a few lovely portraits and ticking the usual boxes.
It's about remembering how the day felt.
The look on your partner's face when they first see you. Your best friend laughing so hard they can't finish a sentence. Your family squeezing you a little tighter than usual. The whole gang together, having the absolute time of their lives.
And yes, the slightly chaotic moments too. Especially those.
I love the idea of couples looking through their photographs afterwards and laughing at moments they'd completely forgotten about. The little things that happened in the background. The expressions, the interactions and the stories that unfold naturally when people are comfortable enough to be themselves.
You don't need to perform for the camera. You don't need to make every moment look perfect.
Just be yourselves, enjoy your people and let the day happen.
I'll be there to capture it all.
Dublin City Weddings Just Have a Different Kind of Buzz
There's a real charm to getting married in Dublin. The atmosphere, the character, the sense that there's always something happening and the fact that you can have such a brilliant celebration without making the whole thing complicated.
For an intimate wedding, it can be the perfect setting for a day that's relaxed but still feels like a proper occasion.
You can have your ceremony, celebrate with your favourite people, enjoy a gorgeous meal and let the celebrations roll on from there. No need to overcomplicate things or spend the day rushing from one scheduled event to another.
And when you have a chilled-out approach to your wedding photography too, the whole thing becomes even easier.
Less worrying about what's next. More enjoying what's happening right now.
Because the best wedding days aren't necessarily the ones where everything goes exactly to plan. They're the ones where you're having so much fun you don't even notice if something goes a little sideways.

The photographs should bring all of that back. The laughter, the love, the madness and all the little moments in between.
