It was one of those rare perfect Dublin days when the sun decided to grace us with its presence for A and P's wedding at Dublin City Hall. As a Dublin City Hall Wedding photographer I'm always in my absolute element photographing in the city sunshine!
As a wedding photographer in Dublin, I’ve seen many beautiful ceremonies, but theirs was something truly special.
A Relaxed Couple’s Session Around Dublin
I love to capture candid photographs, giving some prompts here and there but always keeping the people I'm photographing in mind. We want natural, real gorgeous photos! We began at their hotel near Grafton Street, where they were getting ready, then took a leisurely stroll to pick up their flowers from the iconic Grafton Street flower sellers.
From there, we wandered through Dublin’s most charming spots:
St. Anne’s Church, where we captured a playful shot with the Luas tram passing by
St. Stephen’s Green, where the couple chased through a flock of seagulls and pigeons.
The colorful alley beside the Olympia Theatre, which I never knew existed until then!
A quick stop for a celebratory pint (because it wouldn’t be Dublin without one!) and then onto Temple Bar with it's colourful streets and epic personality.
This couple’s session before the ceremony was full of laughter and genuine moments—exactly what makes for the best wedding photos. Because they had their couple's shoot before the ceremony, it meant that they could relax and enjoy their day with their family without having to be away from them for photos.
