Why Get Married at Trinity College Dublin?
A Trinity College wedding is perfect for couples looking for something elegant, historic and unmistakably Dublin.
The architecture provides an incredible backdrop for wedding photography, from grand historic buildings and stonework to courtyards, archways and the famous Front Square.
It's also right in the centre of Dublin, meaning you can easily incorporate the city into your wedding photographs.
Trinity College Wedding Photography
As a Dublin wedding photographer, one of my favourite things about photographing weddings at Trinity is that the setting does so much of the work for me.
You don't need elaborate backdrops or hours of posing.
We can walk around the grounds, chat, laugh and stop whenever I find beautiful light or an interesting background.
That means your couple photographs feel like part of your wedding rather than a separate photoshoot.
And because Trinity is in the middle of Dublin, we can potentially incorporate the surrounding city streets and architecture too, depending on your wedding arrangements and photography permissions.
Natural & Documentary Wedding Photography at Trinity College
My approach is relaxed and documentary-led.
I'll photograph all the important moments – your ceremony, family photographs, speeches and celebrations – but I'm equally interested in everything happening in between.
The nervous excitement beforehand.
Your parents watching you.
The hugs afterwards.
Your friends laughing.
The two of you wandering through Trinity together.
Those are often the photographs you'll treasure most.
Why Trinity Is So Good for Wedding Photographs
There is something timeless about Trinity College wedding photography.
The architecture isn't a trend, so your photographs can feel beautiful years from now while still being unmistakably connected to Dublin.
And you don't need to spend hours away from your guests.
A short, relaxed walk around the grounds can give us a gorgeous collection of couple portraits while you still get to enjoy your wedding day.

5 star review!
We absolutely loved working with Deirdre. Everything was so easy from start to finish, and we are completely obsessed with the photographs.
She made us feel so relaxed and we had such a fun time walking around Dublin city centre with her. Nothing ever felt staged or awkward, and she was brilliant at capturing all the little moments naturally. She has an amazing ability to slink into the background and capture all the little unseen moments, while then politely and confidently providing clear directions to photos of us or any staged photos that we took.
The photos are exactly what we hoped for. Everyone genuinely looks like they are having the time of their lives, which gives the whole gallery such a wonderfully happy atmosphere. They capture not just what the day looked like, but how it felt, which is exactly what we wanted. All of our guests who have seen the photos have been full of praise for Deidre’s professionalism and the quality of the photographs.
Deirdre was also an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. We really cherise the photos she took which were above and beyond anything we could have expected. We couldn't recommend her highly enough for a wedding!
